Our church is a member of the Fellowship of Independent Reformed Evangelicals. We would like to pray for a different FIRE member church each week. This week, please pray for:

Good Works: We are continuing our preaching series on Motivations for Good Works, currently covering the ways good works benefit our neighbors. Pray that we would bear much fruit.

Doreancon: We will be hosting a conference on October 6-8 on the Stewardship of Scripture (doreancon.org). Contrary to 2 Corinthians 2:17, many institutions lock down access to God’s word in order to secure revenue streams. Please pray for God’s blessing on this.

Transfers: There are several members who are transferring due to moves, etc. Pray for their swift joining in other local bodies.

Officers: Currently, the church has one elder and no deacons. Pray that the Lord would raise up more elders and deacons to serve in this church. Pray especially for one man (Jonathon) as he pursues the office of deacon.

Work: Praise God, he has answered our prayers and given one young man (Daniel) a job at Juniper Networks that will be beginning early this month!

Marriage: There are a number of singles in the church, mostly men, who desire to be married. Pray for success in their pursuit.

Facilities: Our body and outreach efforts would be significantly blessed by a couple of other upgrades to our facilities focused on hospitality:

● A sign: We are in a residential area and it’s hard for people to find us. We are in the permitting process here. The processes here are slow, especially in our regulation-heavy city.

● A fellowship hall: we currently have no indoor space for fellowship meals. We have a large tent that is hot in the summer and too cold and dark in the winter. We are doing research on building options.
